cut: Christo Wallers & Sneha Solanki A live haircut scene between two performers, each blindfolded and armed with traditional hairdressing technology- the hairdressers scissors. No spoken dialogue will exist between the two as they cut and edit, hesitant and wary of causing possible mistakes as these mistakes cannot be rectified or undone. The audience witnessed the spectacle of the scene. The performance was filmed on various formats to maximise its potential for re-use. While the performance could be viewed in the tradition of performance art, and interpreted in that context, it is our intention to subvert that interpretation when the film of the performance pops up in different contexts from a sequence in a cut and paste film and computer based work. 2004.
