Hiya !

This family of sound was originally called Musique Concrete - but with the gramatical accents over the letters. It was made with valves then... Georgie (Harrison) made an album, on the Apple label, under a pseudonym, which is probably now a collector's item. It was like no other Beatle's music (the Walrus was Paul) and he ditched the experiment in favour of melodic, devotional, pooey.

Now he complains about backpackers and his indigenous neighbours using the footpath through his Hawaian ranch. (He's recovering from lung cancer). I was 'tickled' to find that Zappa's burial plot is about three paces down from Roy Orbison's. They're both in the DJ's graveyard, in Beverley Hills, called Westwood Cemetery...

Didn't Zappa claim to have invented the fuzz bass ?

The moon is luminous (or luminescent) now and will set in about thirty minutes - then I'll log off. I guess maybe there are 'only three people logged on' as the sound stream is unbroken. Did I say that that taxi lady blended perfectly with some middle-of-the-road Elgar ? (That went out the window too - there's no-one within five floors of here tonight.) It's close to Hallowe'en... The current human evolutionary theory suggests that people sang before they learned to speak - and nothing I have understood counteracts that view.

All I can suggest is that if you hear birds singing is that you join in. They welcome it...
