ANALOGUE IS NOT DIGITAL

Analogue television is now a 'dead', nostalgic and consigned to the history of media. The analogue signal was switched off' and 'switched to' an exclusively digital form. Pixels replaced lines, and the five channels replaced by multiple data streams for viewing and interaction.

'Analogue Is Not Digital' marks the end of the most prominent and powerful forms of mass media from the 20 Century- the death of the analogue television signal. On the occasion of this death in the final region of mainland U.K (Northumberland, Tyne & Wear, County Durham, Teeside and North Yorkshire) 'Analogue Is Not Digital' has marked this passing with sound works, radio shows, photography and an archive of from the final moments of analogue television for an archive of moving image.
